Connie Zeltner - a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend has passed away. Please add your condolences and support here or on her obituary page. Upper Dowry Creek Beauty and Serenity
Re-connect with nature in the peaceful surroundings of the picturesque Dowry Creek Marina, located just a short distance north of Belhaven, North Carolina on the Inner Banks. We are conveniently adjacent to the ICW at Mile Marker 131.5; just below the transition from the Pungo River to the 20-mile Alligator River-Pungo River Canal. Bear 350 degrees magnetic at Pungo River green Day Marker 15 and cruise though our well-marked lighted channel, with depths of 9 feet to the docks.
Our Marina offers protected deep-water slips located just within the beautiful Upper Dowry Creek, with 30, 50 and 100 amp service available. Enjoy fabulous views from the porch of our well-stocked Ship Store or from our luxurious Captain’s Lounge with sparkling clear saltwater swimming pool. We offer comfortable rocking chairs from which you can observe the ICW, watch our Bald Eagles soar above the Channel against the backdrop of a stunning sunrise, or enjoy the serenity of the wild marshlands that line the Upper Dowry Creek. There is great fishing if you cast a line on the Upper Dowry Creek by dinghy or kayak. For those who prefer to fish with a cold drink in hand, you can cast a line off your stern while in the slip or drop a crab pot overboard and enjoy the bounty without the added exercise! The marina is pet-friendly, and we have a walking area for them to safely stretch their legs after the long boat ride.
We are a family-owned and operated business, with friendly staff who value your satisfaction above everything else. The Dowry Creek Marina is not situated in a typical commercial port or town dock setting like most. Instead, we are located in a quiet and secluded area of pristine marshlands, just a few minutes from Belhaven but away from the noise and traffic of the town center area. Instead of golf cart shuttles or a walk, we offer a comfortable complimentary loaner vehicle or ride to nearby local Belhaven restaurants, bars, grocery stores and marine suppliers. We also have divers as well as boat, engine and electronic experts on call ready to assist you at the dock if needed.
Our goal is to provide a home away from home experience for every waterway traveler who stops in. Our dockmaster and staff will meet you at the pier to assist with docking, fueling or pumpout. In addition to over 70 deep water slips of all sizes to fit boats from 20’ to 120’, Dowry Creek Marina offers clean individual shower/bathroom facilities, complimentary pool and laundry, and the most comfortable Captain’s Lounge on the ICW.
